FAQs

Are your products organic?

 

Wherever possible we use organic ingredients. If we can’t source organic ingredients we choose the next best option.  We absolutely never ever use any synthetic ingredients, petrochemicals, SLS, parabens, PEGs or silicone.

 

Are your products 'Natural'?

 

Our candles & melts are made from a blend of 100% natural beeswax and coconut oil. The beeswax is sourced from the hinterlands of Queensland and remote areas of South Australia where our bees roam free and happy.  We only use 100% pure essential oils to scent our products, organic where possible.  We do not use synthetic fragrances in any of our products – EVER.

 

All our Aroma Mists are made with filtered water and 100% pure essential oils in glass bottles. We use a solubiliser to disperse the oils in the water, this is made from almond and coconut oil.

 

Our Aroma Charms are made with felt balls from Nepal which have been handcrafted using Fair Trade practices with 100% Australian and New Zealand wool.  We use waxed cotton and non-toxic painted wooden balls. Our foil decorations are hand crafted in Adelaide.

 

Our Aroma pillows are made from organic material and filled with Australian organic wheat, lavender and/or cloves.

 

Our products are hand crafted in Adelaide.  We have taken many months to source environmentally responsible and ethical products. This is still a work in progress for us as we continue to develop our products.

 

We hand make the products ourselves and as such they may have small differences, every product is a little unique.

No never.

 

Where are your ingredients listed for your products?

 

You can view the ingredients by clicking on the 'Ingredient' tab on each product page. The ingredients are also listed on the labels and packaging of all our products.

 

I am vegan, what products are suitable for me?

 

We use beeswax in our candles and melts and wool in some of our aroma charms, otherwise all other products are suitable for vegans.

 

Why do you use beeswax?

 

We use a blend of beeswax and coconut oil to achieve an optimum burn quality candle which is renowned for its incredible natural cleansing benefits. Our research shows that beeswax emits negative ions that actually clean the air by getting rid of odours, pollens, smoke, dust, dust mites, viruses and other allergens and hazards.  All we know is that we feel pretty good when we burn beeswax candles.

 

Beeswax is a renewable resource. Beeswax primarily used for candles is sourced from the cappings, which is the wax cap that covers the honey. So every time a beekeeper collects honey, wax cappings are also collected which we use to make our beautiful candles and melts.

 

Beeswax candles are long burning and have a higher melting point than most other waxes. They will burn longer than most candles made from other wax. You should compare the burn time on candles rather than size for a good comparison. The melting point of beeswax is around 63 degrees celcius.

 

We don’t use soy, palm, paraffin or any other waxes in our candles. We don’t use synthetic fragrances in any of our products.  There is a lot of information out there to read if you are interested. We don’t profess to be experts on this subject and we know everyone has their own opinion, we do recommend you do your own research and be comfortable with your decision.

Can you tell me what your wicks are made from?

 

All the wicks in our candles are made from natural cotton fibres.

 

We have read you shouldn’t heat essential oils?

 

We have done a lot of research on this one and feel comfortable with our choice to use essential oils in our candles and products.  We only use 1% - 6% in our products and we recommend you read our safety precautions before use. We have consulted with Aromatherapy experts on this one and we are assured that the way we are using essential oils is safe.  Once again we encourage you to do your own research to help you make decisions for you and your family.

 

Why essential oils?

 

We use essential oils as we believe they offer amazing natural benefits to our range.  The sense of smell is one of the most ancient roots to our emotional life. The use of essential oils in aromatherapy can enhance a mood, ease feelings and reduce stress symptoms on the spot. While synthetic smells may satisfy in the moment, they create toxicity and imbalance in the body longer term. Essential oils on the other hand, are one of nature’s kindest gifts. They are the life force of the plant and their pure essences have been prized for thousands of years for their holistic beneficial properties and potent scents. Treat them with respect however, because of their potency, they should never be applied directly to the skin undiluted or taken internally.

You will receive an email when your order has been despatched with tracking information should you need it.

 

When will I receive my order?

 

Delivery times vary depending on where you live.  We also only despatch on Tuesdays and Fridays.  We believe this reduces our carbon footprint.

What packaging do you use?

 

We try to use recycled or environmentally responsible packaging for all our products.  This is a work in progress for us but we are still researching and looking for the best packaging solutions available.

Something is broken?
